This Privacy Policy explains how Liam O'Connor (trading as Vlogly) ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Vlogly iOS application and website at vlogly.app.
1. Who we are
Data controller: Liam O'Connor (trading as Vlogly)
Correspondence address: United Kingdom
Privacy contact: privacy@vlogly.app
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you provide them, your name and username. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. We never receive your Apple ID password.
Trip and content data
When you use Vlogly, we collect trip metadata (destination, dates, trip name), video clips you upload or record, cover photos you choose, and information about your participation (for example, vlogger assignments and clip timestamps).
Device permissions
With your permission, Vlogly accesses your device camera and microphone to record clips, and your photo library to import existing videos or choose trip cover images. You can manage these permissions in your iPhone Settings at any time.
Purchase information
If you make in-app purchases (such as trip capacity upgrades), payment is processed by Apple. We receive transaction identifiers and purchase status through our payment provider (RevenueCat) to unlock features — we do not receive or store your payment card details.
Notifications
If you enable push notifications, we store a device token to send you trip-related alerts (such as vlogger assignments and recap-ready notifications). You can disable notifications in the app or in iPhone Settings.
Device and usage data
We may collect device type, operating system version, app version, and basic usage information to improve the service, process uploads, and diagnose issues.

4. Legal basis for processing (UK/EU)
We process your data on the following bases:

Raw uploaded clips are deleted within 14–30 days after your recap is generated. Recap videos and trip metadata are retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
For step-by-step account deletion instructions, see our Delete Account page.
